Hello everyone today i want to talk about inherent summons.
So first we are going to look at 2 types of special summons into 2 categories:Inherent Special Summons and Special Summons By card effects.
Inherent Summons:
An Inherent summon is a type of special Summon that does not need an outside force to summon it. They are summoned either by game mechanics or by their own effect so basically In other words these Special Summons do not start a chain.
Summons by a card effect:
Special Summons that are summoned by an outside force, whether it be by another monster's effect, a spell effect, or a trap effect. In other words, these Special Summons start a chain.
Now i want to look at a couple of cards:
Thunder king Rai-Oh: Neither player can add cards from their deck to their hand except by drawing them. During either player's turn, when your opponent would Special summon exactly 1 monster: You can send this face-up card to the Graveyard; Negate the Special Summon, and if you do, Destroy it.
Black Horn Of Heaven: When your opponent would Special summon a Monster: Negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.
Both very common cards in the game and used in almost every deck that's why i wanted to talk about them
The effects of both Thunder King Rai-Oh, Black Horn Of Heaven can only be activated when a monster Special Summons itself without starting a Chain, such as when a monster Special Summons itself E.G cyber dragon so when using these cards its important to know what both of these cards can negate.
Actually I'll be honest when i first saw Both thunder king and black horn i was like OMG i can negate any special summon with these cards :OOOO so OP but i eventually found out the hard way of what both of these cards can actually negate :3
